William is a corporate and commercial lawyer who has been advising businesses for more than 25 years from firms based in the City of London and in Manchester City Centre.   His areas of expertise are mergers, acquisitions and disposals, private equity and venture capital transactions, corporate reorganisations, share schemes, secured lending, cross border mergers and charities/non-profit organisations.

His approach for all his clients is to:

1. Be aware of his client’s commercial drivers,

2. Explain the relevant law to his client clearly, to ensure that his client is in the best possible position      to make fully informed decisions, and

3. Ensure that any documents are watertight to protect his client’s interests taking into account the relevant legal technicalities.

Outside of work, William’s interests include sailing, hill walking, and history. He lives in South Manchester and is married with two children.
