Porter Lancastrian – the brand owner of Porta - has been a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of drinks dispense products and services for the Global drinks industry for over 80 years.
Porta are a relationship driven business who have grown through offering clients a unique quality of service, so when CG Professional’s HR offering was introduced to them it felt more akin to their own values. They have benefitted from privileged confidential conversations which has helped them direct their business as part of the package they have with CG.
Their incumbent HR solution was very much reactive and was offering no insight. It was telephone led, impersonal and thus had no way of getting to know or understand their business, how it worked or what mattered to them.
Although Porta didn’t have any immediate ongoing concerns with HR they felt that CG would put services in place to support them going forward. Porta wanted a long-term legal relationship, from a HR perspective and were concerned about the unknown.
CG’s excellent support package for HR coupled with the direct access to lawyers which enabled privileged conversations from the outset, convinced and reassured Porta they could benefit from a more expansive relationship with CG.
Porta also had various issues around property. Their manufacturing facility was old, and they had serious concerns about maintenance and costs as well as the fact they leased and a didn’t own the premises.
Due to CG’s extensive business connections we were able to introduce a number of non-legal connections which allowed Porta to look at other options for premises and find a long-term solution.
Porta were able to rely on a firm that will not only work proactively with them but can support the long-term growth plans of their business by acting as a partner rather than just an advisor.
