Charmay Prout is the Managing Director at Flavourfresh, a leading grower of premium soft fruit based in Banks near Southport. They specialise in tomatoes and also grow soft fruits which are supplied directly to supermarket retailers across the country.

The business was established in 1997 and is owned by two families. They employ around 300 people every year including full time, seasonal and agency staff and have a turnover of around £17.5 million.

Charmay worked with CG Professional in her previous role so she already had a well-established and trusted relationship with the team.

She joined Flavourfresh during a difficult financial period and needed to restructure the business including the closure of a loss-making division. She turned to CG for simplified, accurate legal advice that would be delivered quickly and aligned with the needs of the business.

Flavourfresh have their own Personnel Manager however they use CG Professional on a retainer contract to provide reassurance and legal advice across all sites and all areas of the business. Since using CG, Flavourfresh have dealt with issues more promptly and the time saved for managers has meant they are able to focus on the operations of the business.
