Biography

Get to know the CG team

Lauren joined CG as a Commercial Associate in January 2023, from leading international law firm DWF, where Lauren trained and qualified in October 2019.


During her time at her previous firm and at CG Lauren has gained commercial exposure to a wide range of high-profile clients operating across the Retail and Hospitality, Public, Energy and Oil, Tech and IT and Education sectors and provides clients with support ranging from day-to-day ‘business as usual’ contracts and commercial law advice to leading and advising on more complex business critical arrangements.


Her experience to date, includes drafting, negotiating and advising in connection with:


  • agreements for the sale and purchase of goods and services, together with bespoke supply/purchase T&Cs;

  • management agreements and commercial arrangements for hotel and hospitality clients working with both the hotel and the public sector;

  • concession arrangements, for both retail outfits and food & beverage brand names;

  • agency and distribution (acting for both supplier and distributor) arrangements;

  • advising a higher education provider as an “extension of their legal in-house team”, assisting with all legal matters and working closely with stakeholders across a range of business units;

  • non contentious intellectual property matters (including drafting licenses for the use of trade marks and technical information);

  • template documentation, precedents and playbooks for clients to use when contracting with their customers and suppliers, together with training on how support documents can assist stakeholders at every business level;

  • drafting agreement for the supply and installation of hydrogen charging points; and

  • providing practical and strategic support relating to ‘in-flight’ contracts, including advising on termination rights and payment obligations.


Lauren also supports the wider firm in connection with commercial support including supporting clients of our corporate team on buy and sell side due diligence projects.


Lauren provides commercially-focused technical legal advice and is known by clients for her “friendly nature” and “approachable but detailed style of advising”. She has developed a broad-practice in her career to date and brings this breadth of knowledge to bear in supporting her clients.
